Since the fall of the Soviet Union, Kazakhstan has been ruled by Nursultan Nazarbayev who declared himself as a lifelong president. Nobody has challenged his reign until now although recently Nazarbayev has faced a significant threat to his authoritarian regime and had to take measures.

At least 700 people have died in the Mediterranean Sea over the past week as three boats carrying migrants from several African countries capsized. All separate incidents, the three boats had left the Libyan coast and were heading toward Italy.

Blast at Somali airport kills four, injures three

SOMALIA, Jowhar (ArmedPolitics) – At least four people have been confirmed dead and three others wounded in a bomb explosion at an airport in Jowhar, located 90 kilometers (55 miles) north west of Somali capital, Mogadishu on Sunday.
